PEER Group provides factory automation software solutions and consulting services to semiconductor manufacturers, and equipment suppliers around the world. PEER Group’s award winning product PEER Tool Orchestrator (PTO) enables equipment automation, including factory communication and hardware control, on semiconductor tools used in the production of computer chips.
Working with our customers in the Semiconductor tool manufacturing industry, in this role you will become an expert in development, testing, troubleshooting and setup for our customers’ tools deployed with PTO’s factory automation solution. This particular position will provide an opportunity for extensive travel to customer sites and fab sites in North America, Europe and Asia.
You really want to travel. Bring it on – the more the better. You can’t wait to experience new cultures and see new places. All the better if this exciting travel to places like Korea, Japan and Europe can be part of your cool new job where you write code to make machinery like robots move and communicate.
You have really solid coding skills and you've always been a quick learner. You have this amazing ability to figure out technology puzzles and get things to work. You pick up new knowledge and assimilate it into what you already know in a way that gives you an edge, and when you have a tricky problem in your head, it doesn’t leave you until it’s solved.
You are able to understand other people’s pain – analyze their production loss in terms of time or money so you can make suggestions about how to make the best progress at solving their problem. You will have the opportunity to become an expert at PTO (PEER Tool Orchestrator). You will grow and develop your knowledge of semiconductor standards and processes to become the go-to person when our customers are in difficulty.
You know that most good things happen as a result of a carefully managed plan—requirements gathering, sharing of information, commitment to a clear goal, coordinating and communicating the plan for delivery and acceptance—that leads to customer satisfaction.
We need your ability to jump on a learning curve, familiarize yourself with the problem space, the industry and the testing tools and get right into customer site work. Come and work in an environment where professionals have a chance to become experts; where you work in a small company environment, but deal in the big leagues. Come to PEER Group.
