Vision Software Developer - Senior

Based in Kitchener, ON

Working with an interdisciplinary project team, you will bring the ingenuity and horsepower to the development team creating core vision technology for an industrial machine vision system.

Scope of Duties:

Design, develop, code, and integrate applications using Matlab, MS SQL Server, C#, C/C++, Visual Studio .NET.
Build efficient, real-time software and related libraries to run either on a PC or embedded platform
Invent, implement and optimize new vision algorithms
Responsible for unit testing on code and participation in bug fixes.
Participate in installation and integration of software into the customer system.
Follow all code and documentation standards
Interact with your team, management and customers
Travel to customer sites and on-site work

To excel in this position, you need to possess:

Expert knowledge of software design, experience working on production code and demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Experience with signal processing and/or computer vision systems required.
Keen problem solving and troubleshooting skills and strong attention to detail.
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20% for projects within North America, Europe and Asia is required.
Excellent English language communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and teammates face to face and remotely.
High commitment to success, ability to multitask within tight deadlines, and a professional demeanor are assumed.

Education and Experience

Post-secondary education in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Systems Design, or Computer Engineering) and 5+ years work experience, in industrial machine vision technology.
