The Audit Station Automation System Quick Reference Card, authored by Heidi Marr and edited by Christy Simard and Ursula McCloy, recently placed first in its category in the Toronto Society for Technical Communication Chapter's 2002-2003 Technical Writing Competition. By winning with distinction, this document automatically moved on to compete in the International STC Technical Writing Competition.
We have learned that the document moved on to achieve second-place standing in the international writing competition. This means the judges gave the entry of a score of 17 or 18 out of 20. Only two entrants in the Quick Start category scored higher to win Awards of Distinction. Once again, thank you to PEER Group, Sara Stairs, and JCI for their support in entering this competition.
This is the second time PEER Group has entered a technical writing competition with the STC, and it's the second time we've won. In 1999, Ursula McCloy entered the Reject Analysis System Quick Reference Card and received an Award of Excellence.
