GWGEM® version 5.12 is an upgrade release with a focus on supporting the SEMI PV2 standard and continuing enhancements on product logging capabilities, product documentation, and development environment support.
The PV2 standard is based on E30 (GEM), providing a proven equipment automation standard refined for photovoltaic manufacturing.
Red Hat’s support of the Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 3 AS/ES/WS operating system was discontinued as of October 31, 2010. As a result, GWGEM is no longer being tested on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3. GWGEM is continuing to stay current with development environments and has added Visual Studio® 2010 to its list of supported environments and sample solutions.
We also resolved several customer-logged issues and requests for GWGEM. Please contact us for details.
There are no known issues that affect backwards compatibility with the existing version of GWGEM 5.11.
GWGEM now runs on several new platforms including Microsoft Windows® 7 (32-bit and 64-bit), Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 5 as well as Microsoft Windows® Server 2008 R2.
We have rebranded the software from Asyst Technologies to PEER Group. With this rebranding effort we have streamlined the installation process and reduced documentation duplication.
As part of our overall goal to reduce troubleshooting time and effort, we have improved GWGEM's error reporting providing more visibility into invalid calls, incompatible configuration options as well as more information around initialization and startup errors.
