The intelligent SECS multiplexer

New software that improves manufacturing performance is being developed at an ever-increasing rate—fault detection, advanced process control (APC), e-diagnostics, and more. These systems vary in functionality, but they usually have one thing in common; they're hungry for equipment data.

But most equipment controllers only support one SECS/GEM connection, and it's often reserved for the factory host computer.

Plex4SECS® actively manages multiple SECS/GEM interfaces to the equipment while ensuring the factory host can maintain control. Message replies are properly routed to the sender, and messages originating from the equipment (alarms, events, etc.) are sent to all the hosts.

Plex4SECS supports both SECS-I and HSMS. It uses an independent computer so multiplexing can be accomplished without altering the factory host software.
