What's New in this Release

This release of the CCS Product Suite includes updates to CCS Envoy and to the CCS Test Plans that validate the E30, E40, E84, E87, and E90 SEMI standards. These updates are based on customer requests and bug fixes; no changes were required to remain current with the latest published versions of the SEMI standards.

E30 Test Plan Changes

• Increased timing flexibility during recipe validation to account for different equipment response time capabilities.
• Synchronized data items in the E30 test plan and CCS Envoy-generated supplier spreadsheets to ensure equipment configuration information is complete.

E40 Test Plan Changes

• Improved the automated selection of tests for different carrier and substrate configurations.

E84 Test Plan Changes

• Synchronized timeout values in the E84 test plan and CCS Envoy-generated supplier spreadsheets to ensure equipment configuration information is complete.

E87 Test Plan Changes

• Added new test cases to more thoroughly validate carrier recreate functionality.
• Reduced test setup effort by providing improved default configuration values for factory and equipment criteria.
• Expanded the test plan to accommodate different implementations of cancel bind scenarios.

E90 Test Plan Changes

• Modified the expected behaviour within the operational scenarios to account for processing a subset of the wafers in a carrier.

CCS Test Plan Version Information

The CCS Test Plans support multiple versions of the SEMI standards. We release new versions of the CCS Test Plans when changes to the standards affect the CCS Test Plans. If the latest SEMI standard version does not trigger a change to the CCS Test Plans, the CCS Test Plans do not list the latest SEMI standard version as a selectable document version, although it is supported. The following table provides further information on the last five SEMI standard versions that triggered a CCS Test Plans update. All CCS Test Plans are current to the 0311 published versions of the SEMI standards.

What's New in this Release

Operating System Support

The platform has been upgraded to support Microsoft Windows® 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) along with Microsoft Windows® XP (32-bit). Microsoft Windows® 2000 is no longer supported.

E87 Test Plan Changes

SEMI E87 publication July 2009 (E87 0709)

• Support testing the new AccessModeViolation alarm trigger caused by the manual removal of a carrier from a load port in auto mode. Previously E87 did not describe the situation where sometimes an operator removes the carrier without switching the tool to manual mode.
• Support testing CancelCarrierAtPort to conform to the clarifications made in the SEMI standard as to its behaviour. The CancelCarrier service was defined in detail with assumptions being made about what parts of this service definition applied to CancelCarrierAtPort. This leads to inconsistent implementations of this service.

Customer Requests

• Expanded the existing content map verification to test that the content map sent from the equipment is not only the correct structure but also contains valid Substrate IDs.

E40 Test Plan Changes

SEMI E40 publication July 2009 (E40 0709)

• Support testing clarifications to the PRJobSetStartMethod. In previous versions of E40, the expected behaviour was not clear when the specified job was not in the QUEUED/POOLED state.

All CCS Test Plans

No changes were required based on the updates made in the SEMI 1109 publication.

CCS Envoy

We have enhanced and improved our licensing infrastructure. We have also resolved bugs related to results annotation as well as configuration.

What's New in this Release

This version of the CCS Product Suite provides improvements to existing features.

Reporting

We made improvements to the reporting feature as per customer requests. Details of these fixes are listed in the Fixed Issues section below.

We also upgraded to the latest version of Crystal Reports to enable richer formatting capabilities. Test results reports are now generated in .PDF only, guaranteeing the content of your test results report.

General Improvements

We resolved all known issues when running CCS Envoy on a Japanese operating system.

We also resolved several customer logged issues for CCS Envoy. Details of the fixes are listed in the Fixed Issues section below.

Documentation

We made several changes to the product documentation.

The following documentation set is now provided with CCS Envoy:

• CCS Envoy Installation and Configuration Guide: We created an Installation and Configuration guide to provide details on system requirements, installation, and configuration.

CCS Envoy Bugs

4112, CCST2821	Export to Excel	Resolved the issue where the Export to Excel function on the Data Input panel appeared successful but failed. Now, an error message is displayed when the Export to Excel is not successful.
4846	Export Results	Resolved the issue where the application sometimes displayed runtime error 50290 and then crashed, when exporting test session setup and results to an Excel file.
4850	Export Results	Resolved the issue where the cursor turned into an hourglass that could only be removed by restarting CCS Envoy or restarting the Reports Generator, which occurred when clicking the Cancel button in the Export Results file window while generating a report.
4855	Export Results	Resolved the issue where the application crashed, when selecting a new filename for a Setup and Results (Excel) report.
4109, CCST2965, CCST3022		Resolved the "variable not found in database" issue, when selecting Auto Connect on the E37 HSMS tab in the Communication Options window while attempting to run certain test cases.
4111, CCST1715, CCST1797, CCST1843, CCST1906, CCST2968, CCST2976, CCST2988	Reports	Resolved the following issues when running CCS Envoy on a Japanese version of the operating system: Date displayed incorrectly in the Result Annotation window. Report 14 Results-Fails and Exceptions was not completely generated. Reports were exported to document files that could not open. Passed test cases displayed as failed in a report.
5408	Reports	Resolved the issue noted in the CCS Envoy version 3.3.0 Release Notes where report error 20534 sometimes appeared when generating reports in quick succession.
5699	Reports	Resolved the issue where the Open File dialog box displayed without explanation, when writing to the Excel export file resulted in error. Now, an error message displays and the user is returned to the Setup and Report window.
8310	Reports	Resolved the issue where a "Could not open file" error occurred when attempting to export results to an Excel file without specifying a default path for the reports.
4848	General	Resolved the issue where active windows moved behind the main CCS Envoy window when navigating away from CCS Envoy, making it appear that CCS Envoy was disabled.
4132, CCST2775	General	Resolved the issue where the Results Annotation Date was recorded incorrectly if the regional short date format was set to something other than M/d/yyyy. Also, changed the logging of all components so that the date format is not affected by the regional short date setting.
8558	General	Resolved the issue where an "Unable to copy necessary files" error occurred when attempting to import a session before ever exporting a session.
9186	General	Resolved the issue where a "SessionMain: Could not load the new session" error occurred after deleting more than one session in the\ Manage Sessions window.
4137, CCS Tracking #73	E90 Wizard	Resolved the issue where the system crashed when a quotation mark (") was entered in the End of Carrier CEID Configuration integer fields of the E90 Data Wizard. Now, a quotation mark is not allowed in these fields.  Resolved the issue where the system crashed when a quotation mark (") was entered in the recipe name and the process job parameter values. Now, a quotation mark is allowed in these fields.
8916 E90	E90 Wizard	Resolved the issue where an "Invalid use of Null" error occurred when attempting to open the E90 Data Wizard with a session configured to use E90 document version 0703, 0303, or 1102.
8889	CCS Utilities	Resolved the issue where a "Can't show non-modal form when modal form is displayed" error occurred after opening CCS Utilities and compacting a database greater than 100 Mb.

CCS Test Plans: E87 Test Plan Bugs

4926, CRM Case: CAS-1030-BQ7WGX	Resolved the issue with SEMI E87 Carrier Management Unit Test (R022.P2.0200A-0707) so that when the E87 Loadport ChangeServiceStatus Spaces criteria is set to Parameter (CSP), the test case TC-53694 now includes the ServiceStatus parameter in the S3F25 SECS message.

CCS Test Plans: E94 Test Plan Bugs

4782, CRM Case: CAS-1018-JB1R62	Resolved the issue where the E94 SetupName default data had the wrong format. Changed the E94 Equipment Constant SetupName ECID from a default value of U2 to U4 in the E94 Control Job Management Unit Test (R015.00.0200A-0705).
4109, CCST2999	Resolved the issue where test cases requesting the Control Job attribute PRJobStatusList failed with a "variable not found in database" error.

Q: What is on your roadmap for the CCS Product Suite?

A: Now that we have focused a release on fixing known issues with CCS Envoy, we will look into customer suggestions regarding additions and improvements to the CCS Test Plans. Standards testing with CCS Envoy is an important part of our overall test applications product strategy. CCS Envoy, combined with our dynamic scenario test application, PEER Factory Acceptance Tester (PFAT™), provides proven standards testing and advanced dynamic scenario testing capabilities. Our strategy is to combine the capabilities of both products into a single test application product. A single test application will allow CCS Envoy users to continue to use their proven CCS Test Plans with the new PFAT user interface. Users can then incorporate portions of CCS Test Plans into dynamic operational scenarios.

SEMI E94 publication 0309	Clarify the triggers for state transitions 11 and 12 in the Control Job State Model	Created operational scenarios to test for additional E94 state transitions to ensure state transition 10, 11 and 12 occurred as specified in the SEMI E94 standard. These tests verify the behaviour of the control job as the E40 process job transitions to process complete, stopped or aborted states.

V8861	Resolved issue with how the E94 Test Plan verified that a control job no longer existed. Updated TC-1.2.3.6.28.31272, TC-1.2.3.6.31.31273, TC-1.2.3.7.28.31272 and TC-1.2.3.7.31.31273 in the E94 Test Plan to pass if the equipment does not return an object or a control job attribute.
