Director, Marketing Communications
Heidi combines a passion for the written word with a creative flair to drive PEER Group’s messaging and corporate brand strategies. She leads the marketing team responsible for creating the company’s digital content, developing thought leadership programs, and managing external events. Heidi’s team executes marketing campaigns that engage and educate customers by providing the right information in the right way at the right time.
Heidi joined PEER Group in 2000 as an information developer and accelerated quickly to become a senior technical writer and trainer. In 2006, she assumed the role of support and integration manager and led a team that supported global testing and repair processes for a major electronics manufacturer. Heidi then became a project manager for various equipment automation and factory-wide Smart Manufacturing projects before moving back into communications in 2014 as manager of marketing services and corporate communications. Her experience leading both engineering and marketing teams gives her unique insight into customer needs and in 2018, Heidi was promoted to Director, Marketing Communications.
Prior to joining PEER Group, Heidi managed marketing activities for an architectural firm in London, England and was a technical writer for the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo (UW). She holds a Master of Arts in Language and Professional Writing from UW and a Masters Certificate in Marketing Communications Leadership from Schulich Executive Education Centre, York University.
