SEMI E87 CRTU Prediction
We’re excited about the latest change to the E87 standard, Carrier Ready to Unload. It allows a host to request a prediction from the tool for when a carrier will be ready. This allows the host to schedule the material handling system to pick up the carrier at an opportune time, which will increase throughput across the entire facility.
This change is a great example of how the SEMI Standards process helps combine the requirements of the factories and the capabilities of the tool makers to move the entire industry forward.
