Doug Suerich, P.Eng.

Director of Marketing

Doug combines over 20 years of experience creating software for manufacturers across multiple industries with a deep desire to connect customers with the best solutions for their needs. As PEER Group’s Director of Marketing, he leads the team responsible for creating digital content, developing thought leadership programs, conducting market research, and managing external events. Doug also collaborates with both factory and OEM customers to prioritize their needs in the development of PEER Group’s product roadmaps.

Doug joined PEER Group in 2011 as a senior software developer where he was a key contributor to multiple big data projects. Leveraging on a natural flair for storytelling and technical communication, Doug became PEER Group’s first product evangelist in 2016, traveling the world to present the company’s vision at trade shows and conferences. A passionate advocate for advanced manufacturing, Doug is an active member of both the Governing Council for the Semiconductor Manufacturing Cybersecurity Consortium and the SEMI® SMART Manufacturing Technology Community, Americas Chapter. He also co-chairs the Advanced Process Control Smart Manufacturing Conference.

Prior to joining PEER Group, Doug was a software development manager, automation engineer, information systems specialist, and consultant. He has extensive experience designing and integrating robust automation software solutions. Doug holds a Bachelor of Applied Science with Honours in System Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he was awarded the Gold Medal for Academic Excellence. He is a licensed professional engineer in the province of Ontario.
