Mike Barrett, P.Eng.

Vice President, Global Sales

Mike draws on his technical background as an engineer and extensive industry knowledge to help maximize every customer’s experience with PEER Group by providing software solutions that meet their unique needs.

Mike joined PEER Group in 2005 as a software developer specializing in equipment connectivity and control. He quickly demonstrated a strong customer focus and transitioned to the sales team as an applications engineer in 2007.

In 2008, Mike became PEER Group’s first OEM Sales Engineer. Because of his innate leadership skills and ability to form lasting relationships with key customers, he was promoted in 2015 to OEM Account Manager for North America. Mike was then named Director, Global OEM Sales in 2017 and took responsibility for leading all of the company’s OEM sales activities.

Today, Mike serves as PEER Group’s Vice President, Global Sales. He oversees all aspects of both the OEM and factory sales operations with a focus on fostering a customer-centric approach to building and maintaining long-term strategic partnerships with clients.

Mike holds an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA with a specialization in Strategic Management from the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. He is a licensed professional engineer in the province of Ontario.
