Technology support
Our products continue to adopt new computing technologies, enabling our customers to take advantage of the latest versions of computing platforms. SDR now supports the Microsoft® Windows® Server 2019 operating system.
SDR no longer supports the following operating systems: Microsoft® Windows® 7, Microsoft Windows 8.1, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (R2 and SP2), Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard (2009 and 7), Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 5. Additionally, SDR no longer supports Microsoft Visual Studio® 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2013.

SDR™ now supports Windows Server® 2012 operating system. Support for older technologies has ended consequently SDR no longer supports Windows® XP, Windows Vista®, Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 4 operating systems as well as development tools of Visual Studio® 6, 2003, 2005, and GNU C 3.4.4.

What’s new in this release
Operating system and development environment support
As of March 2012, Oracle/Sun have announced that Solaris 8 will reach its End Of Software Life. As a result SDR™ is no longer being tested on Solaris 8.
SDR continues to stay current with development environments and has added support of the Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 6, Windows® Embedded Standard 7 and 2009 operating systems to its list of supported environments and sample solutions.
Expanded logging support
Continuing with our overall goal to reduce troubleshooting time and effort, SDR logging capabilities and documentation have been enhanced.

What’s new in this release
SDR™ version 5.12 is an upgrade release with a focus on improving product logging capabilities, product documentation, and development environment support.
Operating system and development environment support
Red Hat’s support of the Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 3 AS/ES/WS operating system was discontinued as of October 31, 2010. As a result, SDR is no longer being tested on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.
SDR is continuing to stay current with development environments and has added Visual Studio® 2010 to its list of supported environments and sample solutions.
Expanded logging support
SDR has expanded its log file management options, giving you further control over your historical logs. It now provides log file rollover support that increases the historical log information SDR is able to maintain.
Continuing with our overall goal to reduce troubleshooting time and effort, further improvements have been made to SDR’s startup error reporting.

What’s new in this release
Operating system support
SDR™ now runs on several new platforms including Microsoft Windows® 7 (32-bit and 64-bit), Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 5 as well as Microsoft Windows® Server 2008 R2.
Improved installation
We have rebranded the software from Asyst Technologies to PEER Group. With this rebranding effort we have streamlined the installation process and reduced documentation duplication.
Improved error reporting
As part of our overall goal to reduce troubleshooting time and effort, we have improved SDR’s error reporting specifically focusing on startup error identification.

What’s new in this release
Platform updates
SDR™ now adds Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 development environment to its substantial list of supported environments which includes Windows, Red Hat and Solaris.
Logging improvements
In order to accelerate troubleshooting, new information has been added to the logs providing visibility into message rejection. On the Solaris platforms, log process management has been improved.
Documentation improvements
We have clarified the impact configuration parameters have on messages to simplify the interpretation of message responses.
