Cost-Effective Data Collection for Legacy Factories
We presented this topic at the APCSM XXXII 2020 virtual conference on October 6, 2020
When building a new factory, planning for advanced data collection is a given. High-technology manufacturers recognize the need for integrated data access to enable advanced process control (APC), which drives throughput and yield improvements. Data is the fuel for any type of process enhancement, so without data collection, new initiatives cannot even get started. Unfortunately, legacy facilities and the older equipment inside them were not always designed with these considerations in mind. In this presentation, we discuss a cost-effective way to deploy data collection in existing semiconductor factories.
